This 20-foot by 60-foot swimming pool is housed in a heavy timber building that is covered with earth and set into a hillside. All of the structure is fabricated from timbers recycled from dismantled industrial buildings. Wooden panels hide high-definition video displays. Opposite these are glass walls that open automatically to the outside. Fiberglass skylights allow diffused light into the lower areas of the building and clerestories bring in light to the higher pool space. Exquisite details in this building include the wood diving board, tile stairs and stone handholds.
